PHP delete() function

This function is used to delete a file. This is same as PHP unlink() function.

Syntax

delete(filename);

filename is the full path with filename. delete() function returns a boolean value, either TRUE or FALSE.

Example

    $filename = 'demo.php';
    if(delete($filename)){
        echo 'File is deleted successfully.';
    }
    else{
        echo 'Unable to delete file.';
    }
?>
