PHP number_format() function

This function is used to format the number values.

Syntax

number_format(number_values, decimal_places, decimal_point, thousands_separator);

number_values is the required parameter. decimal_places is the position at which decimal point is placed, decimal point is the decimal point separator and thousands_separator is the comma.

Example

<?php
    $num = 1392322;
    $format_num = number_format($num, 2, '.', ',');
    echo $format_num;
?>

Output -

1,392,322.00
